Instant or coffee beans? With milk or black?
There’s no coffee like coffee. Arabica coffee beans taste different than robusta. In general, arabica tends to be more acidic, softer and with less caffeine, while robusta offers a bitter taste, an earthy aroma and has a higher caffeine content.
How the beans are roasted also has an effect on the flavor. Light roast lets the acidity out while dark roast brings out the bitterness. Keep this in mind when you are shopping, whether you are opting for beans, ground coffee, instant or coffee capsules for machines. The packaging will usually tell you how the beans should be roasted. Search for the word “roast”. Dark roast means the darkest possible, medium roast corresponds to not too dark and not too light, while blond roast is light.
